Adriana Bruggeman is an associate professor in hydrology and water management at the Energy, Environment and Water Research Center of The Cyprus Institute in Nicosia, Cyprus. She leads an interdisciplinary research group, who are investigating hydrologic processes and natural resource management technologies and policies, and their environmental and economic impact. She worked as an agricultural hydrologist at the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA), based in Aleppo, Syria, from 1998 to 2009. She has an MSc in hydrology from Wageningen University and a PhD in Biological Systems Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, USA.
